Handmade Seashell Watercolor Palette

Part artist’s tool, part coastal art piece.

Each seashell watercolor palette is individually sculpted by hand from clay and natural seashells, creating a one-of-a-kind piece that’s just as beautiful sitting on a shelf or easel as it is covered in paint.

For artists, the natural shells become functional wells for watercolor paints and mixing. For those who simply love the piece itself, it makes a unique piece of coastal-inspired art for a studio, shelf, desk, or creative space. You don’t have to be a painter to enjoy one.

Every palette is made to order and available in Small, Medium, or Large. Each typically features 5–8 shell wells, depending on the size and shape of the natural shells used. If you plan to paint with yours, you’ll have a space when ordering to tell me whether you prefer more, smaller wells or fewer, larger wells.

Please note: More wells generally means smaller shells, while fewer wells allow for larger shells. Because every palette is created by hand using natural materials, shell shape, color, texture, placement, and other details will vary. No two will ever be exactly alike.

For Artists
The shells can be used to hold and mix watercolor paints. Simply let me know your preferred number of wells when ordering. I’ll do my best to accommodate your preference while working with the natural shapes and sizes of the shells available.

For Display
No paint required. These palettes are designed as small pieces of functional art and can be displayed on their own as a unique, coastal-inspired addition to your home, studio, or creative space.

Care
If using your palette for painting, gently rinse or wipe it clean after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbing that could damage the finish.
